The Nautilus project
Your life quality in 21 Century, depends on it (and possibly the future of life on earth).
Your ability as an individual to thrive anywhere is the key.
This is the challenge of the 21 Century.
Designing and building a new living entity as a symbiotic pair between man and machine called here "the shell". By machine I mean the current automation,robotics, AI and beyond.
This web site hosts the requirements of this challenge. It describes how to identify a successful solution for the challenge.
In a nutshell, the requirement is this
If you find yourself anywhere in the Solar System including the vacuum of space, any of the planets and moons excluding environments where the temperature is spatially uniform and higher than ~333K (~60 degrees C), then you should be able to live indefinitely (until the end of your natural life) without any help of any kind from any other individual.
This also infers the fact you must be able to build or rebuild your shell from a minimal package called "the seed".
Why?
In our times we unlocked a new form of existence, one some may even call it alternative life. Systems based on alternative substances like silicon, are now reality and their complexity expands exponentially. This revolution in human abilities is like no other humans encountered since the discovery of fire. It has the potential to give us a path to eternity or lead us into oblivion. I believe there are only two ways this can unfold, a symbiotic relationship of Carbon and Silicon or competitive one. I fear that in the near future, humanity may not survive a competition against machines.
This project aims to be a guide to anyone willing to be part of this symbiotic vision for the future.
How?
Developed in a fully open and transparent way by any person or organization on earth.The "product" of this effort is a fully developed and tested "seed" or "initial package" containing:
- Information base
A fully structured and highly organized active knowledge base which when executed in the seed's system can train a human mind in how to survive and thrive anywhere in the universe.
- Hardware
Minimally designed machine and resources which together with the information base is sufficient to allow any human being to thrive anywhere in the Universe.
The system building the "seeds" must be fully automated. No human being will be required to spend his or her time to build those devices. The only requirement from the human-machine entities after they are built is to provide any new information useful to improve its performance.
This site does not host any of the sub-projects related to the actual solutions. The way to use this project in your project is to create your solution (or components for a solution) and simply reference this project by its UUID. At this time the projects can be located @ https://github.com
